During Thanksgiving week, 1,224 single-family homes and condos sold in the Bay State, here’s a look at four recent sales that will have the buyers in their new homes just in time for Christmas:
Designed by Boston area architect Deborah Baskin, this free-standing condo located at 48 Winslow St. in Cambridge was listed for $1.125 million and sold for $1.1 million on Nov. 22. Unit F was the last of four newly constructed homes tucked between the Avon Hill and Huron Village neighborhoods. The 2,400-square-foot property on four levels including four bedrooms, two full and two half bathrooms and a media room.
“This ultra-modern home features the most tasteful fixtures and finishes, including a balcony off the master suite, attached garage with entry parking and beautiful landscaping,” says Paul Slavinski of Charles Associates, who sold the property. The association fee of $202 includes master insurance, exterior maintenance and snow removal.
Located at 57 Parker Road in Wellesley and built in 2011, this four-bedroom center-entrance Colonial was listed for $1.599 million and was sold for $1.525 million on Nov. 22 by Joseph Fleming of JT Fleming and Co. The home sold in a mere 76 days. The new buyers will be ready to cook for the holidays in the new chef’s kitchen equipped with Viking gas range with vented hood, warming draw and center island. Located across the street from Perrin Park, this home is approximately 4,600 square feet, including a 1,000-square-foot finished basement and four and a half bathrooms.
Built in 1965, this oceanfront contemporary located at 444 Atlantic Ave. in Marblehead was listed on Oct. 4 for $1.799 million and sold on Nov. 23 for $1.577 million. The 4,742-square-foot home has five bedrooms, three full baths and two half baths as well as a sauna. The back yard overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, as well as a landscaped yard and an in-ground pool. Evelyn Rosenkrantz of Sagan Realtors, who sold the property, said: “The home is situated on one of the most striking vistas on the North Shore and there are ocean views from the entire first floor, including the master bedroom.”
The home at 11 Bellevue Ave. in Winchester is a newly constructed Colonial-style farmhouse that was listed for $1.249 million on Aug. 18 and sold two days before Thanksgiving on Nov. 22 for $1.175 million. Located in the Muraco School neighborhood, this energy-efficient, 4,564-square-foot home has four bedrooms, three and half bathrooms and a finished lower level. Mark Lesses of Coldwell Banker, who sold the property, said: “It has an elegant farmer’s porch, hardwood floors throughout, a large open kitchen and a huge master suite with walk-in closets.”
