The Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches said Tuesday it erred last week in reporting a January median price of $150,000 for Palm Beach County.
The local trade group now says the correct figure is $175,000. In addition, the board revised its monthly sales total to 752 from 1,003.
The vendor that gathered the data for the local board mistakenly included townhome transactions with single-family homes, skewing the median price and sales total, said Jan Traub, spokeswoman for the Realtors Association of the Palm Beaches.
The local group and the Florida Realtors issued vastly different median prices and sales totals for the county last Wednesday.
